Creating space in the middle of high season

The situation

High season, changing Heads of Department and an overstretched HR function had created tension, frustration and growing conflict across departments. The impact was no longer only internal. It had started to affect the guest experience and lead to complaints.

The work

Across seven days, we created dedicated development time within the realities of a fully operating lodge. Teams stepped out of their routines for focused sessions, then returned to daily operations with new perspectives and practical tools they could apply immediately. The work connected communication, responsibilities and collaboration across departments directly to the guest journey, supported by shared exercises and one-on-one feedback.

What changed

The result: stronger understanding across departments, greater ownership and better collaboration, with the impact reaching back into the guest experience.

Case 02

Leadership Development · 6 sessions · 12 participants

When self awareness changes the conversation

The situation

Recurring conflict and personal triggers had begun to dominate conversations within the leadership group. Disagreement was becoming personal, making it increasingly difficult to move discussions towards decisions and solutions.

The work

Across six sessions, participants explored human stress reactions and the connection between triggers, behaviour and communication. They worked with their own patterns, received direct feedback and developed practical ways to take ownership of their reactions before entering difficult conversations.

What changed

The result: conversations became more peaceful, personal conflict reduced and meetings increasingly shifted towards solution focused discussion.

Reconnecting with the reason behind the work

The situation

An exceptional period of pressure and injustice had left participants carrying anger, exhaustion and frustration into their professional lives. The emotional weight was beginning to affect their ability to be fully present with the patients they were there to care for.

The work

Over two and a half days, the work created space away from daily responsibilities to reconnect with personal values, professional purpose and what remained within each person’s own influence. Reflection, facilitated conversations and new perspectives shifted the focus from what could not be controlled towards personal responsibility and the reason each participant had chosen their work.

What changed

The result: participants returned to their hospitals with renewed connection to their role, greater ownership of what they could influence and a stronger ability to focus on the people in their care.
